Choose to proceed with recommended infrastructure updates (with no loans and no-cost installation if selected) or decline with zero obligation.
The Energy Grid Challenge
New York's electrical grid is facing unprecedented strain. Between aging transmission equipment and soaring electricity demand from new technologies like artificial intelligence data centers, farming, and modern transit, the cost of keeping the lights on continues to rise.
By producing energy right where it is consumed—on individual rooftops—homeowners can help ease pressure on local grid infrastructure (like neighborhood transformers) and lower their electricity bills.
Homeowners participating in local infrastructure updates may also qualify for incentives like the NYC property tax abatement and the NYS income tax credit. This is local energy infrastructure in action.
